One of several leading female film editors from the golden age of Hollywood, Adrienne Fazan (May 9, 1906 – August 23, 1986) first started cutting films in 1933. She found her forte with the MGM musical heyday, working on such films as Anchors Aweigh (1945) and Kismet (1955). She was nominated for an Academy Award for An American in Paris in 1951, and received the award for Gigi in 1958. Both of these films were directed by Vincente Minnelli, with whom Fazan had a notable collaboration on eleven films.
Fazan retired in 1970.
