Akbar al-Baker (Arabic: أكبر الباكر‎; born 1960 in Doha, Qatar) is the CEO of Qatar Airways.[1]

Mr al-Baker became Chief Executive Officer of Qatar Airways in 1997. Prior to his appointment he worked at the Civil Aviation Directorate of Qatar.[2] He is also Chairman of the Qatar Tourism Authority.[citation needed]

Mr al-Baker holds a degree in Economics and Commerce.[citation needed]
