The Ancients are one of six armies in Avalon Hill's strategy boardgame Stratego: Legends. The Ancients are a member of the Forces of Good. They are placed on a beige backside piece, and have a green frontside.

The Valorians were allied with the Ancients in the first wars for the Shattered Lands. The two fought against the Gargans and the Manes, who were the Forces of Evil. Eventually, the wars escalated to a point that a neutral army, the Celestia, intervened, and created The Divide. The Divide was a magical barrier that cut off the Forces of Good from the Forces of Evil, and so the wars were delayed. However, the Divide was taken down by the Qa'ans, a new race that joined forces with the Gargans and Manes. As it was, the Celestia joined forces with the Valorians and Ancients. This set off a new string of wars. From the bak story provided by the rulebook, it seems that Landor the Ranger is the leader of the Ancients. The Ancients are mostly made up of Dwarves and Elves, although there are some Rangers and Plantlife in the army.
"The original inhabitants of The Shattered Lands include elves, dwarves, and other people of the earth. The Ancients work the powers of the earth against their enemies. Their seers are the most powerful of magic workers and their attacks often come from nowhere - and everywhere."
