And When Did You Last See Your Father? (2007) is a film based on Blake Morrison's 1993 autobiography of the same name. The film was directed by Anand Tucker and stars Jim Broadbent, Colin Firth, Juliet Stevenson, Matthew Beard, Carey Mulligan and Claire Skinner.

Critical reception

The film received generally favorable reviews from critics. The review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes reported that 78% of critics gave the film positive reviews, based on 32 reviews.[1] Metacritic reported the film had an average score of 70 out of 100, based on 8 reviews.[2]

Plot

The plot is a series of memories Blake has about his father interspersed with current life scenes of his father dying. We see him playing golf, learning to drive, playing doctor, with his father, but in each scene we see the hurt of Blake as he sees his father philander with other women
