Andy Pearman was born in Southampton, Hampshire and is a radio presenter / producer on the worldwide BFBS radio network.
Andy started with the BBC at Radio Solent in 1986 and then moved to Independent Radio in Hampshire where he worked for Power FM, Ocean FM and South Coast Radio. He began in radio production and moved on to promotional work including running the outside broadcasts and roadshows for the Southern Radio group for three years. During this time he also worked for BBC Radio 1 as part of the summer roadshow crew (1988 - 1999). Andy's first full time on-air job was with cable network Max FM in Southampton. He then moved to talkSPORT and also presented at Orchard FM. Since then he has presented for 2CR FM in Bournemouth and at Oasis FM and Mercury FM in Hertfordshire where he was breakfast presenter.
Andy joined BFBS UK in the Spring of 2001 and currently works for BFBS Radio as a manager within the network promotions department as well as continuing his work as a radio presenter / producer. He also works within the BFBS Television network as a transmission controller / continuity announcer.
