Dr Anil Khetarpal, a leading laparoscopic and endoscopic surgeon based in New Delhi, India, has successully accomplished more than 25,000 surgeries in last 20 years. He was born in 1954 at AFMC, Pune and obtained his medical education from Rajasthan. He completed his postgraduation in General Surgery in 1983 from R N T Medical College, Udaipur [1]

Career

During the initial days of his career, Dr Khetarpal worked as Clinical Instructor and Registrar at R M L Hospital, New Delhi. He then laid the foundations of a multi super-specialty hospital, Khetarpal Hospital, in 1992 in New Delhi. In early nineties, Dr Khetarpal travelled internationally to attend various conferences, seminars, workshops to learn the finer aspects of laparoscopy and endoscopy. He received his basic laparoscopy training from Prince of Wales Hospital and United Christian Hospital, Hongkong. He has a special penchant for Endourology Surgery and Bariatric Surgery. He holds strong futuristic vision for the development of healthcare segment in India and keeps himself well informed about latest technologies and health care products[2] [3]
