Ash Baron-Cohen (born 1967 in London) is an independent, English film-maker known as Ash, who works from frugal budgets. He has a bachelor's degree in experimental psychology from Sussex University, trained as a filmmaker at the Pasadena Art Center. He resides in Los Angeles, CA.

As a student at the Pasadena Art Center, he persuaded Richard Harris to act in his student film for free[1].

Ash's film Bang was inspired by his experiences of stripping to fund his first film.
