Bad Hofgastein is a town in the district of St. Johann im Pongau in the state of Salzburg in Austria. It is in the valley "Gasteiner Tal" and near the famous[clarify] village Bad Gastein. Bad Hofgastein is a village of the skiing area "Gasteiner Tal" which is one of the famous skiing areas in Ski Amade as well[citation needed]. The famous thermal bath is the most well-known one of this touristical village.
