History

Białołęka Village

Białołęka Village came into being in 1425 and belonged to the Gołyński Family. In 1938 Białołęka has 900 inahbitants and belonged to the Bródno municipality.

Białołęka District

In 1994, due to Act about new territorial division of capital, Białołęka changed its name to Warszawa-Białołęka municipality. In 2002, the territorial division was changed by replacing Warsaw's municipalities into districts.

Division

Area of the division divides into following parts:

  • "industrial" located in central, western, southern and southern-western part
  • "housing estates with big density of buildings" located in western and northern-western part
  • "housing estates with prevalent detached houses" - northern and eastern part.
