CCIT

All you want to know about CCIT

CCIT (Communication, Culture, and Information Technology) is a joint program between the University of Toronto at Mississauga and the Sheridan Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning in Ontario, Canada. According to its official website, "CCIT is an interdisciplinary program for the study of the art and science of human communication, how communication builds knowledge and creates culture, and how information technology affects the way humans communicate."[1] Students can choose from a Major (which must be combined with a second Major) and four Specialists: Digital Enterprise Management, Visual Culture and Communication, Human Communication and Technology, and Health Sciences Communication.

The Digital Enterprise Management (DEM) Specialist program prepares individuals interested in management to target E-Business related companies, which need to be managed in fundamentally different ways due to factors such as far flung supply chains and just in time customized production.

The Visual Culture and Communication (VCC) Specialist "provides students with a foundation in both visual cultural and communication studies (history, theory and criticism) and digital communication practices". [2]
