Charles Burney, Jnr. D.D. (December 4, 1757 – December 28, 1817) was an English classical scholar and clergyman.

He was the son of Charles Burney, the music historian, and the brother of novelist Fanny Burney. The Reverend Burney's splendid collection of rare books and manuscripts was ultimately bought by the nation for the British Museum in 1817.

The Reverend Burney was a pupil at the school in Chiswick run by Dr. William Rose, a translator of Sallust, from 1758 to 1786. He later married Dr Rose's daughter. The Reverend Burney moved this school to Hammersmith and thence to Greenwich in 1793 where he established a private academy. Many eminent naval and military officers were educated at the academy in the beginning of the 19th century. His son Charles Parr Burney (1785-1864) took over the school at Greenwich in 1813.
