Don Payne is a writer on The Simpsons. Many of his episodes are co-written by John Frink. Recently he has moved into screenwriting. So far he has written My Super Ex-Girlfriend and co-written Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer. He was recently hired to adapt the Maximum Ride novels.

In an interview for Star-News he revealed that his favorite Simpson episodes are the season eleven finale "Behind the Laughter", the season two episodes "Lisa's Substitute" and "Itchy & Scratchy & Marge", the season three episode "Like Father, Like Clown", the season four episode "Marge vs. the Monorail", and the season eight special "The Simpsons Spin-off Showcase".[1]
