The Donetsk-Krivoy Rog Soviet Republic (Russian: Донецко-Криворожская советская республика) was a short-lived soviet republic. The republic was formed by Bolsheviks on February 12, 1918 and was not recognized by anyone, including the Russian SFSR.
The Donetsk-Krivoy Rog Soviet Republic claimed the territories south of neighbouring Ukrainian People's Republic, which included the Donbass, Kharkov, Yekaterinoslav, and part of the Kherson Governorates. Another territory claimed was part of the Don Voisko Oblast [1] . In the beginning, the republic's capital was the city of Kharkov, but was later moved to Lugansk.
