Faisal Karim Kundi (born on January 1, 1975) was elected Deputy Speaker, National Assembly of Pakistan on 19 March 2008.[1] He had been elected as the youngest Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly.
Deputy Speaker Faisal Karim Kundi comes from a well known political and agriculturist family of the North West Frontier Province, Pakistan. Born in 1975 in Dera Ismail Khan, he graduated from Thames Valley University in London.
He was specially politically groomed by Shaheed-e-Jamhoriat Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto in London. He contested the Election for NA-24 against Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman in February elections 2008 and got 85000 Votes with a victory of 40,000 Votes.
Deputy Speaker Faisal Karim Kundi had served the Pakistan Peoples Party as divisional coordinator in Dera Ismail Khan.
His father Mr Fazal Karim Kundi had defeated Maulana Fazal-ur Rehman in 1990 on Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) ticket. His maternal grandfather, Justice (Retd) Faizulllah Khan Kundi served as federal minister with Quaid-e-Awam Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.
Faisal Karim Kundi’s great grandfather Barrister Abdul Rahim Kundi was the first deputy speaker of the NWFP Assembly.
