The Great Public Schools Association of Queensland Inc. (GPS) was established in 1918 and involves a small number of boys secondary schools in a variety of sporting and cultural activities.

The Nurseries of Australian Rugby Gregory Terrace has provided more Australian Wallabies than any other school in Queensland.[citation needed] St. Joseph's College, Hunters Hill in New South Wales has produced the most in Australia with 37, Gregory Terrace and Brisbane Grammar School sit second and third respectively.[citation needed]
