The current UCLA logo. The rules governing the appearance, presentation, and construction of this logo were set in the UCLA Graphic Standards Manual on September 8, 2004. The constituents of the "Graphic Identity Program" maintain strict rules covering how, where, when, and in what manner the logo is to be constructed and presented. The logo, instated in 2004, is part of the program that UCLA is using in order to create and maintain a visual identity in the wave of inconsistent icons and logotypes representing the university.
The logo cannot be reconstructed with any fonts or drawings. It is available by restricted download on their Identity site, and only that version may ever be used as the official logo.
This file was created by extracting the official version presented in the UCLA Graphic Standards Manual and converting the color to the Web value specified in the manual.
