Administration

Jammu district comprises of 3 tehsils: Akhnoor, Bishnah and JAMMU City.

This district consists of 8 blocks: Akhnoor, Bhalwal, Bishnah, Khour, Marh, R.S.Pura, Satwari and Dansal.[1] Each block consists of a number of panchayats.

Politics

Jammu District has 11 assembly constituencies: Nagrota, Gandhinagar, Jammu East, Jammu West, Bishnah, R.S.Pura (S.C.), Suchetgarh, Marh, Raipur Domana (S.C.), Akhnoor and Chhamb (S.C.).[2]
