Jean de Ligne, Duke of Aremberg (1528 – 1568) was stadtholder of the Dutch provinces of Friesland, Groningen, Drenthe and Overijssel from 1559 until his death.
He was killed in the Battle of Heiligerlee, in which he fought an invading army led by Louis and Adolf of Nassau (brothers of William I of Orange).
