The Kara Darya[1] or Qaradaryo (Russian: Kapaдарья) is a river in Central Asia, flowing through the Fergana Valley, where it is used for irrigation. In the Fergana Valley its confluence with the Naryn River (at 40°54′N 71°45′E / 40.9, 71.75Coordinates: 40°54′N 71°45′E / 40.9, 71.75) forms the Syr Darya. There are several dams on the river.
