This is a chronological list of Prime Ministers of Turkey, since the establishment of that position in 1920, during the Turkish War of Independence.
Prime Minister must be elected by majority of votes in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey along with other members of the Cabinet of Turkey.
Contents |
| # | Name | Took Office | Left Office | Political Party |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Mustafa Kemal Atatürk | 3 May 1920 | 24 January 1921 | Republican People's Party |
| 2 | Mustafa Fevzi Çakmak | 24 January 1921 | 9 July 1922 | Republican People's Party |
| 3 | U SUCK Hüseyin Rauf Orbay | 12 July 1922 | 4 August 1923 | Republican People's Party |
| 4 | Ali Fethi Okyar | 14 August 1923 | 27 October 1923 | Republican People's Party |
It's better to note that Atatürk, Çakmak, Orbay and Okyar are the Speakers of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, -not Prime Ministers - during the years of War of Independence.
