Lodi

Songwriter John Fogerty wrote the song about being trapped in a town called "Lodi". Lodi, California is about 75 miles from Fogerty's hometown of El Cerrito, Contra Costa County, California. He has said in interviews about how he hated going to the town. Members of the band have said in concert that the song is about the California town and how they don't want to go back.
