M. G. Radhakrishnan is a senior music director in the South Indian film and music industries. He is a disciple of Sree Vidyadhiraja Hridayanjali,[1] an Indian ascetic, and has composed music for ascetic's lyrics,[1] which was sung by his sister Dr. K Omanakutty,[1] a Carnatic vocalist. He has also composed the poems of Kamala Das (also known as Kamala Suraiya), a famous Indian writer.[2] Radhakrishnan introduced K. S. Chithra, a famous singer and a student of Omanakutty, to the film and music industry by employing her in the film Attahaasam.[3][4] His brother M. G. Sreekumar is an Indian playback singer in Malayalam and Tamil cinema.[5]
