Makhdum Rashid is a town in Multan, Punjab, Pakistan.
Makhdoom Rashid town is named after the saint Hazrat Makhdum Abdul Rashid Haqqani, the cousin of Makhdum Baha ul Haq (Baha ud Din Zakrya) and the daughter son of Hazrat Shaikh Abdulqadir Jilani. Makhdoom Rashid is 20 km distant from Multan towards the east on Vehari Road (old Multan Dehli Road). The Mausoleum of Hazrat Makhdoom Abdul Rashid Haqqani is in Makhdoom Rashid. The population of Makhdoom Rashid is approximately 30,000. The majority of the population is from the Makhdum Abdul Rashid family, also known as Quraishi Hashmi. The prominent personality of Makhdoom Rashid is Makhdoom javed Hashmi belonging to Makhdoom Abdul Rashid's family.
The Urs of Hazrat Makhdum Abdul Rashid Haqqani is in the month of June (Haar) which remains for full month every year. People from distant areas come here for their prayers. There is a water well near the Mausoleum. Water in this well rises only in the month of June; people take this water for drinking and bathe to cure thier physical and spiritual diseases. The importance of the well is because of Hazrat Makhdum Abdul Rashid Haqqani. Hazrat Makhdum Abdul Rashid Haqqani suffered from disease and after recovering threw the remaining medicine into the well so that people may benefit from this for a long time.
