Manmohan Waris (born in Halluwal, Distt. Hoshiarpur, Punjab, India on August 3, 1970[citation needed]) is a Punjabi Folk/Pop singer. He is elder brother of Sangtar, (a renowned Punjabi record producer, musician & poet) & Kamal Heer, (a renowned Punjabi Folk/Pop singer). Waris is married to Pritpal Kaur Heer. They have two children; a boy named Amar Heer (after the name of Waris' mentor Late 'Dhadi Amar Singh Shounki'), and a girl named Saiya.[citation needed]. He learned the regional classical music from Late 'Ustad Jaswant Bhanvra Ji', along with his brothers.
