The Pickford Center for Motion Picture Study is an Archives Facility for the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences located at 1313 Vine Street, in central Hollywood.

The building has had almost as colorful a history as the academy itself. In fact, it is the oldest surviving structure in Hollywood that was designed specifically with television in mind.[1]

The Academy announced its plan to collect motion pictures upon its founding in 1927 and made its first film acquisition two years later, in 1929. The Archive’s collection now includes over 100,000 items, covering some 70,000 individual titles.[2]

It is also the future neighbor of The Museum of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
