Shiva is a 2006 Bollywood film produced and directed by Ram Gopal Varma, who directed a film of the same name in 1989. It stars Mohit Alawat and Nisha Kothari.
The film starts with a brutal murder of a man by John,a henchman of Bappu, a gangster turned politician. A massive nail is hammered into the skull of the man in broad daylight in front of the public who stare shocked while Insp. Tavde a corrupt police officer watches the gruesome murder but just smiles and walks away. The scene then moves to Shiva a newly recruited cop who joins the police force only to find that Insp. Sawant and his colleagues turn a blind eye to Bappu's misdeeds. Shiva has joined the Mumbai Police due to the financial difficulty his brother is facing. Shiva along with his 3 cop friends decide to clean the entire system and put an end to Bappu's reign of terror.
