Notability / Merge

Rescue -> Merge to Gaudiya Matha

I added the rescue tag, as there are many scholarly and other sources on this notable religious figure provided at the three AfDs and earlier versions of the article that should be used to make a substantial article, and avoid interminable and circular AfD debates. I will try to do some work myself, but for the next few days personal responsibilities will keep my editing to a minimum.John Z (talk) 09:19, 17 June 2008 (UTC)

Please refer to the discussion. The reasons were explained clearly. This article will be merged to retain material and references. MBest-son (talk) 22:36, 17 June 2008 (UTC)
I object to any merge, of course, especially when I am unable to reply, as the subject is quite notable, and the arguments against are very weak. Looking at all the AfD's there are the keeps and deletes are roughly equal, one more keep than delete iirc. Remarkably, almost all the editors who are not usually involved in this area said keep. The current and out-of-the-ordinary process AfD is about equally balanced too. John Z (talk) 00:51, 18 June 2008 (UTC)

discusion was against http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Gaudiya_Math#Merge_from_Bhaktivedanta_Narayana&oldid=229558360 No merge is needed articles now have separate verified content Syama (talk) 03:47, 7 August 2008 (UTC)

Acarya of the Millennium Award On October 31, 2003 in the Vraja village of Uchagaon, Vrajacarya Pith and the World Religious Parliament in Delhi jointly awarded Srila Bhaktivedanta Narayana Maharaja the title "Yuga Acarya" or Acarya of the Millennium. http://www.purebhakti.com/teachers/bhakti-discourses-mainmenu-61/22-discourses-2003/378-yuga-acarya-award.html http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:RSN#Promotional_or_reliable

Does anyone know of a second reference for this? Would this fall under the ["uncontentious fact" category] and if so how would you rewrite it?. Syama (talk) 03:55, 4 August 2008 (UTC)

National Geographic I have heard mention of an article about Narayana Maharaja in the National Geographic "February 1990" magazine does someone know how I can find it? Syama (talk) 03:56, 7 August 2008 (UTC)

ISKCON Section ?

Should this page include a section on Narayana Maharaja's post 1977 dealings with ISKCON? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.110.195.162 (talk) 14:53, 9 June 2008 (UTC)

I'm not sure that there is any neutral third party source on this. Syama (talk) 03:47, 7 August 2008 (UTC)
