PUt he was in first quorum as that is what ldschurch news photo shows. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.129.137.40 (talk) 23:48, 20 October 2007 (UTC)
For some ridiculous reason, several editors insist on listing Oaks as being in the 1st Quorum of the Seventy. He's not. Upon his release from the Presidency of the Seventy on August 1, he resumed his previous position as a member of the 2nd Quorum of the Seventy. The General Authorities chart contained on page 64 of the November Ensign, which is an official source endorsed by the Church, pictures Oaks as a member of the 2nd Quorum of the Seventy. Unless there is a verifiable source for changing him to the 1st Quorum of the Seventy, that is where he is right now. Please do not change information in this manner without a verifiable source. --Jgstokes-We can disagree without being disagreeable (talk) 17:29, 26 November 2007 (UTC)
Robert C. Oaks served in the Presidency of the Seventy from October 2, 2004-August 1, 2007. Merrill J. Bateman served in the Presidency of the Seventy from April 5, 2003-August 1, 2007. Because whoever was called first to the Presidency of the Seventy has the greater seniority, Bateman was senior to Oaks. I'm more than a little curious about why in the Seventy Presidents Template Bateman is listed after Oaks, and I don't know how to fix that. Any thoughts? --Jgstokes-We can disagree without being disagreeable (talk) 02:17, 12 December 2007 (UTC)
