The Confession is also the English title to the 1970 French-Italian film L'Aveu, as well as the title of a story written by French author Guy de Maupassant.

The Confession is a 1999 drama film directed by David Jones and starring Ben Kingsley, Alec Baldwin, and Anne Twomey.

Devout layman (Kingsley): It's not hard to do the right thing.
