As novas aventuras da Velha Christine mostra Christine Campbell (Julia Louis-Dreyfus), uma mãe divorciada e dona de uma academia de ginástica para mulheres. Ela tenta controlar sozinha a sua vida, e estar em paz com tudo a sua volta. É conhecida como "Old Christine" ("Velha Christine") porque seu ex-marido Richard também tem uma namorada chamada Christine. Entre os personagens, está o filho de 8 anos do casal (Ritchie), o irmão e a sócia de Christine.
